Can you use a prepaid phonecard in Japan?
i have prepaid phonecards to call from japan to the us.. my aunt, who i dont think knows exactly what I am saying says i can only use them on public phones.. but i think you can use them on land phones.. i have $20 dollar phone cards, and a 250minutes phone card. please let me know.. i need to know if i need to buy different kinds or if phone cards don’t work in japan. You can use the phone card from any phone. Just followe the instructions on your phone card (which instruct you to dial 0 or their own number for a connection) and that should do the trick. When I was in Japan last fall (three months woot!) I used a phone card to call home, but it was deathly expensive. 1 minute was 50 yen. I ended up using YahooPhoneChatThingie from my laptop since i hated Skype and had net connection.
