How do I call Tiketti in Helsinki, Finland from the United States?
I’ve tried calling long-distance and using a calling card. I dial 011 (international access code from US) + 358 (Finland’s country code) and the number listed at www.tiketti.fi: 600 11616.
I keep getting a message that the number is no longer in service? Please help. Thanks!
Well, since they tell on their website that you can call from abroad I’m pretty sure you can access that number also from US.
I think that most likely the problem is that the service was closed when you tried to call. It’s only open 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Finnish time) on weekdays and 12 noon (p.m.) – 6 p.m. on Saturdays. On Sundays it’s closed all day long. So since the Finnish time is 7 hours ahead of east coast of US, you should call between 3 a.m. and 12 noon (p.m.) EST.
And there’s nothing wrong with the phone number you’re using, I just tried calling there and there’s this message telling their opening hours, only in Finnish though, so probably that was the message you heard.
