Long Distance phone call using a calling card. What’s on the phone bill?
Our phone bill shows all the calls we made. The number shows and the location we called and how long we talked for and what time we called. I need to make an international call, but I don’t want it show up on the phone bill. If I call internationally using a calling card, would the 1-800 number show? If so, will it also show that I called India? I’m calling from American landline to Indian cellphone?
More than likely the 800 number will show, but not the number you actually call. If you’re so worried about it, go to a hotel and use one of the pay/courtesy phones that are provided near the lobby – better yet would be a hotel that has a conference center. They always have separate rooms with plenty of phones.
